Senior Account Manager

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team in Amsterdam. You’ll be managing relationships with Adyen’s existing client base in the Netherlands and with international merchants. You will not focus on sales to new clients, however is a key part of the role upselling Adyen’s products and services to expand Adyen’s share of wallet. With a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach, you’ll drive the growth for some of the world’s leading companies.

What you’ll do

  • Be the main point of contact for your merchants, proactively build strong relationships and navigate organizations to align the right external and internal stakeholders
  • Provide strategic and consultative advice to help influence and fulfill the payment strategy of your merchant
  • Own and grow a portfolio of key merchants, meeting our team’s strategic and financial goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate merchant needs and feedback, impacting Adyen’s product innovation and development, and delivering merchant projects
  • Serve as an extensive source of knowledge for your colleagues in the account management team and other departments.

About you

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all organisational levels and functions, both inside and outside of Adyen
  • Passionate about leading strategic payments conversations, presenting business reviews, and coordinating high level technical discussions
  • Highly skilled in leveraging your business acumen and analytical abilities to strategically assess and help reach client goals
  • Comfortable in presenting to technical stakeholders about the nuances of payments as well as leading high-level technical discussions
  • Excited to lead and manage multiple projects, with escalation management skills and the ability to prioritize time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interface seamlessly with a global multicultural team (culturally aware, adjusts communication style to audiences)
  • 7+ years relevant experience in a relationship management position or consulting with a focus on complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure or financial services
  • You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in Dutch and English. An additional language would be a plus.

Please, note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
