iOS Developer


Adyen is looking for a full-time iOS developer to help us conquer the world of mobile payments. You'll be working in a cross-functional and motivated team with a lot of room to start new initiatives and take ownership. Besides having an open and entrepreneurial mindset, we expect you to be experienced in iOS development, both from an implementation and architectural point of view. Our Team 

You will be working on a cutting edge solution, building the future of mobile payments in the form of an SDK, using the most up-to-date iOS stack (iOS 15, async/await, SwiftUI). 

We're partnering with Apple on Tap to Pay on iPhone. With this technology, we can transform an iPhone into a payment accepting device. With Tap to Pay on iPhone our customers can accept contactless card or wallet payments. 

Next to this, we're developing "the card reader”, which is the companion to a merchant’s smartphone or tablet. It connects via Bluetooth Low Energy and it can be attached to the mobile device with the use of a magnet which is built into the hardware. This makes it ideal for the mobile use case, as it facilitates taking payments anywhere inside or outside of the merchant's physical location. 

You will be working on an SDK that merchants can easily integrate into their own application. That brings interesting architecture and security challenges. The project is in active development, and you will help us launch. This also means that you'll have the opportunity to visit and collaborate with famous brands, who will roll with our SDK.

Your qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in iOS development using Swift.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience with building libraries used by other developers
  • Knowledge about security best practices and standards.
  • Experience with SwiftUI
