Adyen is looking for an experienced SDR team lead who will succeed aboard the Adyen rocket ship and take our current successful momentum to the next level of growth through the sales development of new (Enterprise) merchants.

As a critical member of the UKI Team and global Sales Development Team, you will be an integral contributor to shaping Adyenā€™s team environment. Based in our London office you will work closely with cross functional leadership to drive pipeline growth in line with commercial go to market strategy. You will be directly responsible for managing SDRs based in the UK and have a supporting responsibility for SDRs in other European countries with a total team of approximately 8-10 people. 

The successful candidate must be passionate about growing business, be able to inspire a team to win, be capable of challenging processes to ensure efficiency in every day task, be willing to learn new skills and inspire their team to do the same and demonstrate a proven track record in nurturing and growing teams.

What Youā€™ll Do:

  • Reporting to the Head of Commercial for UKI and with additional responsibility in  other european countries you will lead 8-10 SDRs  to exceed targets and drive pipeline growth across a wide range of segments, verticals and geographies;
  • Play a key role in the global Sales Development leadership team which consists of regional team leads and Global Head of Sales Development.
  • Train the SDR Team (incl product training, pitching, selling skills and negotiating tough conversations)
  • Management and follow up on all inbound leads;
  • Drivestrong outbound initiatives in collaboration with  the sales, marketing and partnership teams.
  • Track the ongoing performance of the SDR Teams;
  • Empower SDRs to drive collaborative and sustainable pipeline generation for their region through creative multi channel approachesMonitor the ongoing performance and quality of each SDRr;
  • Ensure SDR processes are clearly understood by the SDR Team and be able to dissect processes to ensure we operate efficiently;

Who You Are:

 

  • A leader (2+ years experience leading) a team of 3+ members; 
  • Proven experience in an Sales or Business Development (2+ years) with Enterprise B2B complex solutions;
  • Data-driven in making decisions, setting goals, and driving success in the organization, while also embracing ā€˜hands onā€™ sales and qualitative metrics of success;  
  • Pragmatic way of working, high energy, has a creative mindset; 
  • Manages & supports the team on the front lines,  not from behind desk & reports; 
  • Empathetic leader who can affect change while also being firm on change management;
  • Availability to travel to our Amsterdam HQ and to other regions as required, the candidate should anticipate work multiple days a month from another Adyen office.

This role is based out of our London office, with sometravel required within Europe. We have a hybrid workplace and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
