Product Manager, In-person Payments hardware quality

Adyen’s In-person payments fleet of payment devices is growing exponentially with every passing month. We are bringing thousands of devices to the field every month with a wide variety of models and this doesn’t come without challenges.

We are looking for a hardware focused product manager to get an end to end grip over the hardware quality of our business.

What you will do: 

  • As its first team member, shape the future of Hardware Quality for Adyen’s In-person payments business.
  • Manage quality across a wide variety of vendors & hardware types including Adyen’s own designed devices like the NYC1 & AMS1
  • Working closely with engineers, operations, our vendors and repair centres to identify opportunities for improvements, discover effective solutions and deliver them to the market.
  • Define metrics for hardware quality and drive the estate towards its maximum potential
  • Help manage staging, returns, triaging & reverse logistic processes to maximise effectiveness and longevity of our devices

Who you are:

  • Experience - you have 5+ years of experience in the product and/or hardware engineering domain.
  • Knowledge - You have an understanding of hardware engineering and how to translate it to reliability metrics for large fleets of devices (not necessarily payment terminals)
  • Mindset - You have an entrepreneurial mindset and don’t sit around and wait until things happen by themselves. 
  • Proven record - you have have launched and scaled products with quantifiable value, adaptability and creativity - plans and conditions always change, but you still positively navigate the right course

Please note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
