Sales Development Representative

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Adyen UK Commercial team. As an SDR at Adyen, you will be given the scope to accelerate your career by working with multiple business units, across a variety of verticals, in a payments business with global recognition. You will work in tandem with Sales Managers, Marketing, and Partnerships to create new business opportunities and deliver key payments insight to the wider business. This role is interdisciplinary, requiring an inquisitive nature, an ambitious go-getter mentality, and strong interpersonal skills.

 

 What you’ll do

  • Work as a strategic and operational partner for the Sales, Marketing, and Partnership teams at Adyen;
  • Leverage both Inbound leads and Outbound campaigns to drive top of the funnel opportunities for the business;
  • Think creatively and independently about the best way to manage your sales desk, while nurturing strong relationships with our merchants, our colleagues, and the Adyen global team;
  • Harness your natural curiosity to explore what is happening in the market;
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Adyen at all internal and external company events;
  • Build a strong personal brand through joining networking groups, engaging in regular brand development on LinkedIn, and attending industry events; 
  • Become a subject matter expert through contributing to online and offline discussions about the payments space; 
  • Invest in yourself through continuous learning about the industry, as well as both new and existing Adyen product offerings;
  • Learn how to streamline your work with multiple sales enablement tools to expand your personal pipeline; 
  • Commit yourself to open, honest and frequent communication with teammates, your manager and the business as a whole. 

 

 Who you are 

  • You are a sharp communicator (both written and verbal), with exceptional rapport-building skills;
  • You are bold, a born networker, with a strong work ethic that pursues opportunities wherever you find them - and where others don’t ;
  • You are coachable and thrive under high-pressure environments;
  • You think on your feet and are not afraid to challenge the status quo to forge different paths to success ;
  • You have a keen interest in financial services, with strong business acumen, and are comfortable with using data to drive key insights;
  • You have 1+ years of outbounding experience, preferably in a sales role where you have successfully sold complex and technical products/services, or agency recruitment experience;
  • You are conscious of your responsibility to contribute to the team effort and are confident in the role you play in the continual success of the business.
