Communications & Investor Relations Manager

We are looking for a quick-witted Communications & Investor Relations Manager. The communications team crafts and executes Adyen’s global communications strategy – encompassing corporate positioning and reputation- and stakeholder management. The team interacts on a daily basis with a wide range of external parties,  such as investors, analysts, regulators and other public stakeholders, journalists, and merchants. This is a board-adjacent team that operates at the forefront of the business.

What you’ll do

  • Develop Adyen’s messaging when it comes to corporate-, financial-, ESG-, and complex macroeconomic topics. Experience within each of these specific fields is not a must, curiosity is key;
  • You will craft and/or review written materials that help execute our communications strategy (e.g. executive briefs, FAQs, position statements and global press releases);
  • Help prepare messaging and investor events for our bi-annual earnings cycles and other major global events (e.g. capital markets days), with a primary focus on investor and media audiences. To do so, you will work closely with our FP&A and Financial Reporting teams.
  • Prepare and staff senior leadership’s press interviews with tier-1 media;
  • Handle the day-to-day of our global press office, and maintain relationships with tier-1 international media. With maturity, this will include background briefings and on-the-record conversations with local and global press.

Who you are

  • You have 3 – 5 years of experience in a public relations, (financial) communications, or investor relations role;
  • Flexible & fast – you enjoy getting things done in a fast-paced environment and know how to prioritize. You thrive in an environment with freedom, and are a real self starter;
  • You are a strategic thinker and enjoy translating complex topics into clear messaging;
  • You are a capable communicator – native-level command of the English language and a knack for writing helps too;
  • You are comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders – as this is a role with high internal and external visibility. You will constantly work closely with senior leadership, including Adyen’s management board.

Please, note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
