Sales Academy Manager

In the early Adyen days, our founders were training new sales people on selling the value of the Adyen solution themselves. The whole board was involved, as were our own experienced, successful sales people. A challenging experience - but with the massive growth in hiring it became clear we needed a more scalable solution. 

This was the inception of the Adyen Sales Academy. The method remains: our own Adyen sales legends are the stars of our training programs and we believe sales people grow fastest when challenged. But with an ever growing sales force, we’re always looking to scale and improve by adding needed structure and effective learning strategies.

What you’ll do

  • For the larger part, run Sales Academy training programs starring our own top sales people as trainers. This entails:
    • Hosting, facilitating and moderating sales trainings online and in person across our offices globally
    • Creating challenging new programs and sessions for various sales audiences (managers, team leads, high performers etc.) and topics
    • Getting our top sales people on board as trainers (many love to do this) and setting them up for success in sessions
    • Continuously innovating our blended learning offer to adjust to business needs
  • Build relationships with and grow our most important resource: our pool of internal sales trainers

 Who you are

  • Are experienced in a new business sales role for at least 3 years, because we need you to have a deep understanding of your sales crowd
  • Have a vision on how to get sales people excited and help them grow
    • Experience or education in the learning and development space is a big plus
  • (Would) love to host trainings. What will help you with that:
    • You have an inspiring presence
    • You’re able to ‘control the room’ without taking the whole stage for yourself 
    • You have the wit and credibility to challenge and confront sales people to help them grow
  • Have the confidence to assess critically and make decisions, because the aim is for you to be a driving force for the program(s) you’ll own
  • Have the ‘roll up your sleeves’-mentality to put in work and make it happen
  • Are fluent in English and, on top of that, a great communicator (especially towards sales people): to the point, impactful and people-oriented - both written and spoken
  • Are excited to think in scalable solutions, because we are a growing team on the move to scale

Please note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
