Legal Counsel Corporate Affairs

We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Counsel Corporate Affairs. The role focuses on supporting the Company Secretary and the business in a wide range of ways. You will manage and coordinate company secretarial matters for Adyen N.V. and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business. 

What you’ll do

• Working closely with the Company Secretary to prepare, organize and follow-up meetings of the Management Board, Supervisory Board, Committees and General Meetings of shareholders;
• Drafting the Governance sections of the Annual Report;
• Handling of various multi-jurisdictional corporate matters, such as the incorporation and liquidation of entities globally;
• Drafting, reviewing, coordinating and managing the timely and accurate execution of legal and corporate documents;
• Maintaining accurate and proper statutory records and overseeing global document and record management;
• Monitoring relevant statutory and regulatory developments and translating these to the business;
• Liaising with internal group functions, professional advisors and internal and external stakeholders.

Who you are

• You have an in-depth knowledge of and interest in Dutch and European corporate law and corporate governance, among others in a listed context; 
• You have an Dutch law LLM degree with 3+ years’ relevant work experience;
• You have strong strategic, analytical, organizational and communication skills;
• You are able to work independently and think critically, are reliable and discrete;
• You have demonstrated ability to take initiative, think ahead, and engage proactively across multiple stakeholder groups;
• You are fluent in English and Dutch (both written and verbal).

Please, note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
