Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist

Amsterdam

This is Adyen

Adyen is the payments platform of choice for the world's leading companies, delivering frictionless payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels. Our team members are motivated individuals that help each other do remarkable things every day. We face unique technical challenges at scale and we solve those as a team. And together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that transform the way the world pays.

We took an unobvious approach to starting a payments company, building a platform from scratch. Now, Adyen serves the world's brightest companies like Facebook, Uber, L'Oreal, Casper, Bonobos and Spotify.

Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist

Key to our success is cultivating an inclusive environment - one designed with equity in mind. This philosophy is also reflected in the Adyen Formula wherein we stress the importance of involving others to sharpen our ideas. Although we view this as a responsibility of the entire Adyen team, we are looking for a full time Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist in Amsterdam to align current DEI projects as well as develop new initiatives together with the business, our employee representation groups (ERG’s) and the HR department.

In this role, you will accelerate and support the creation of an inclusive and engaging workplace where Adyen employees from diverse backgrounds can thrive, succeed and feel at home.

Each year, with the input and recommendations of our DEI Working Group, we formulate an action plan, taking into account the diversity targets that we have set for ourselves. Initiatives in the field of recruitment, equal opportunity, employee training and surveys will be key areas of focus. You will work closely with the DEI Working Group and the business to create efficient and effective processes and facilitate a balanced way of working.

What you’ll do

  • Support and align the execution of all DEI initiatives that line up with business priorities and complement the Adyen formula and way of working;
  • Train and support the business to effectively attract, retain and promote employees from underrepresented groups in a scalable and inclusive way;
  • Bring visibility to the DEI plans and projects being worked on in each region;
  • Ensure a timely and effective implementation of DEI initiatives locally in collaboration with our team leads;
  • Identify critical success factors to measure effectiveness of our DEI initiatives and apply data analytics to measure success and continuously launch and iterate;
  • Develop a suitable yearly roadmap to communicate about our DEI initiatives together with our Internal communications team.

Who you are

  • You have working experience in an international fast paced environment and/or in leading diversity, inclusion and/or cultural initiatives;
  • You focus on solutions and opportunities, rather than problems;
  • You have a high level of self-motivation and are able to define structure and prioritise;
  • You are able to plan proactively as well as reacting quickly when needed;
  • You have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills that foster connection, collaboration and confidence;
  • You have experience working with global businesses and teams;
  • You are fluent in English and preferably another language.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments

Our unobvious approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. So no matter where you’re from, who you love, or what you believe in, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.

Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Does it sound like you? If so, Adyen encourages you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application.

What’s next?

Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 3 business days. Our interview process tends to take between 3 or 4 weeks to complete. Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need more flexibility.

Please, note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
